Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma initiated the 21-kilometre Sapt-Kosi Parikrama from Punchari Ka Lautha by offering prayers at the temple gate and performing a religious ritual. The yatra lasted around six hours, culminating in a grand Dugdhabhishek of Giriraj Maharaj and Shrinathji the following morning.
Accompanied by his wife, Geeta Sharma, the Chief Minister participated in the pilgrimage as an ordinary devotee, upholding his religious traditions without special privileges. The atmosphere during the journey was filled with chants of devotion as devotees joined him along the route.
During the pilgrimage, Chief Minister Sharma interacted warmly with fellow pilgrims and officials, emphasizing his dedication to the religious observance. His family members had previously completed a demanding form of pilgrimage, the Sapt-Kosi Dandoti Parikrama, as part of a personal vow.
Chief Minister Sharma also reviewed development projects and public welfare initiatives in the region during the pilgrimage. He ensured that essential facilities for pilgrims visiting the Braj region were strengthened, emphasizing the importance of a seamless experience for devotees.
