Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas visited Jaipur and paid a courtesy call to Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The Government of Rajasthan warmly welcomed the Chief Election Commissioner, emphasizing the state’s dedication to supporting democratic and electoral processes. Both officials, with extensive experience in governance and public administration, met to discuss mutual contributions at state and national levels.
Chief Secretary Srinivas shared his visit with Gyanesh Kumar on social media, expressing a warm welcome to the Chief Election Commissioner. Gyanesh Kumar is currently on a two-day visit to Rajasthan and engaged with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Jaipur. Approximately 700 BLOs and supervisors participated in an interactive session with Gyanesh Kumar at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Sitapura.
During the interaction, the Election Commissioner addressed various electoral process aspects and listened to the experiences and challenges faced by BLOs and supervisors. The meeting between the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Secretary highlighted the collaboration between constitutional institutions and state administrations, emphasizing their joint efforts to enhance democratic processes and governance standards. The Government of Rajasthan reiterated its support for the Election Commission of India in conducting smooth elections and maintaining public trust in democratic institutions.
