Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas recently oversaw arrangements for the upcoming BRICS Industry and Trade Ministers’ Meetings in Jaipur on August 6 and 7. Emphasizing the importance of seamless coordination among departments, he urged timely completion of all necessary tasks for the successful hosting of this significant international event.
During a high-level meeting at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Srinivas evaluated the readiness of various departments and scrutinized plans concerning security, protocol, logistics, and civic infrastructure. Noting the participation of Ministers and senior delegations from BRICS member countries, he highlighted the event’s potential to position Jaipur as a key international hub.
To ensure a secure environment, the Chief Secretary instructed the Home Department and police authorities to implement stringent security measures at crucial locations such as the airport, hotels, and meeting venues. Additionally, he called for the efficient execution of motorcade and traffic management strategies to facilitate the movement of foreign delegations across the city.
Addressing the need for a welcoming atmosphere, Srinivas directed the Jaipur Municipal Corporation and the Jaipur Development Authority to conduct special cleanliness drives, beautification projects, and other civic enhancements along designated routes and event venues. Stressing the importance of flawless reception arrangements, he underscored the significance of showcasing Rajasthan’s hospitality to the visiting dignitaries.
In a comprehensive review, Chief Secretary Srinivas examined various aspects including protocol, airport facilities, medical services, cultural programs, delegation schedules, branding, and logistical needs. He urged all departments to fulfill their assigned tasks promptly and in a synchronized manner to ensure the event’s success.
