Rajasthan Chief Secretary V. Srinivas recently conducted a comprehensive review of major schemes and projects under the Energy Department and the state’s three electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs). During the meeting with senior officials, he emphasized the need for timely and effective implementation of all schemes and the acceleration of pending works. Specific focus was placed on schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri KUSUM (PM-KUSUM) Scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and the Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model.
Rajasthan’s standing as one of the leading states in the country for effectively implementing the PM-KUSUM Scheme was highlighted. The meeting also addressed the state’s plan to provide daytime electricity supply to farmers by March 2027, with progress already visible in 26 districts. The focus remains on achieving the set target within the specified timeframe for all districts.
