Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was honored by non-resident Rajasthanis in Howrah, Kolkata. He criticized opposition parties in West Bengal and called for a strong mandate. Sharma urged support for the Bharatiya Janata Party, emphasizing the need to eliminate corruption and appeasement politics.

During the event, Sharma condemned the opposition’s resistance to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam. He labeled their opposition as a “petty mindset” and highlighted the importance of empowering women. Sharma praised PM Modi’s initiatives like Jan Dhan Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana for empowering women across the country.

The Chief Minister commended the contributions of the Rajasthani diaspora in various sectors globally. He encouraged non-resident Rajasthanis to invest in Rajasthan and maintain strong ties with their roots. Sharma also highlighted Rajasthan’s development progress under a “double-engine government” and the significant MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit.

Sharma questioned why West Bengal couldn’t achieve similar development and advocated for a “double-engine government” in the state. He stressed the need for accelerated growth and good governance. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the diaspora, welcoming the Chief Minister warmly.
