In a heartening display of prompt governance, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma swiftly addressed a longstanding request made by schoolgirls from Jajod. During a ‘Ratri Chaupal’ in Sikar district, students from Government Senior Secondary School, Jajod, highlighted the absence of a Science stream at their school. This led to girls compromising on subjects or traveling long distances for Science education.
Touched by the students’ plight, the Chief Minister immediately promised to introduce a Science stream at the school. He instructed Education Department officials to act promptly that very night. The following morning, the girls met the Chief Minister again on their way to school to reiterate their plea.
With a warm smile, the Chief Minister informed them that the Science stream had already been initiated at the Jajod school. He confirmed that the necessary official orders had been issued by the State Government. Starting from the current academic year, students can now select either Mathematics or Biology based on their interests and pursue their studies at their own school.
Expressing joy and gratitude, the girls were elated to hear the news directly from the Chief Minister. This swift action has been hailed as a testament to the state government’s dedication to the empowerment of girls through education in rural Rajasthan.
