On International MSME Day, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan introduced various policy measures and incentives to enhance industrial growth and support the state’s MSME sector. These initiatives aim to promote entrepreneurship, attract investments, and establish Rajasthan as a prime investment destination. The Chief Minister revealed plans for dedicated Haats for artisans, new incentives for electronics and semiconductor sectors, financial aid for startups, and the launch of the Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy.
The government’s commitment to inclusive industrial development and job creation was emphasized as the Chief Minister distributed financial assistance totaling over Rs 13 crore and RIICO land allotment letters to beneficiaries. Highlighting the significance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Rajasthan’s economic landscape, he stressed their role in driving growth, generating employment, and fostering self-reliance. The Chief Minister also reiterated the focus on encouraging youth entrepreneurship and showcasing local products globally while preserving Rajasthan’s cultural heritage.
Addressing a gathering in Jaipur, the Chief Minister credited Rajasthan’s pro-industry policies and entrepreneurial efforts for positioning the state as the fourth-largest MSME base in India, with over 33 lakh enterprises. He highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to boost industry, investments, and employment opportunities, citing initiatives like the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit that have bolstered investor confidence in the state.
Under the Direct Allotment Policy-2025, more than 1,600 industrial plots were allocated in Rajasthan over the past year to ensure timely land availability for industries. The state government’s reforms across 23 key sectors have streamlined business processes, reducing approval times and regulatory burdens for MSMEs. Notable changes include shortened timelines for land-use conversion and industrial operations commencement permissions, along with an expanded list of non-polluting industries to ease compliance for MSMEs.
The Chief Minister outlined Rajasthan’s long-term industrial vision, emphasizing the development of new industrial hubs such as solar panel manufacturing parks, ceramic parks, data center parks, and defense manufacturing parks. He also highlighted the Viksit Gram-Ward Abhiyan, a program aimed at promoting unique local products from each district globally. Encouraging youth to establish processing units using local agricultural produce, he emphasized the transition towards job creation and entrepreneurship.
