CM Sharma underscored the need for a mass movement towards energy conservation, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of prioritizing national interests and sustainable fuel usage. He also encouraged the adoption of electric vehicles as a means to reduce carbon emissions and enhance environmental protection measures. Additionally, the Chief Minister invited investors to engage in Rajasthan’s energy sector, positioning the state as a key player in the nation’s energy landscape.
Highlighting Rajasthan’s progress towards renewable energy goals, CM Sharma mentioned the state’s vast solar and wind energy potential. He noted the government’s commitment to fostering investment in renewable energy projects through policies like the Rajasthan Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024. The Chief Minister also outlined initiatives such as the PM-KUSUM scheme and the establishment of solar projects on agricultural land to meet energy demands in the farming sector.
With a focus on expanding renewable energy capacity, CM Sharma set ambitious targets for the state, aiming to establish substantial energy storage projects alongside renewable energy installations. He highlighted the government’s efforts in solarizing public buildings, implementing EV charging stations, and promoting electric mobility.
