Rajasthan’s Director General of Police, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, has instructed police officers in the Jodhpur Range to enhance vigilance and bolster security measures along the international border. Emphasizing the need to curb illegal activities, criminal movements, and unauthorized infiltration, Sharma called for proactive policing, intelligence-based monitoring, and increased community involvement.
During a high-level crime review meeting at the Jodhpur Range office, Sharma urged officers to step up efforts against organized crime, drug smuggling, and anti-social elements. He also stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance in border districts and effectively utilizing the country’s new criminal laws. The meeting was attended by senior officials including Jodhpur Range IG Satyendra Singh and Superintendents of Police from various districts.
Discussions at the meeting focused on crime patterns, law enforcement, and security issues in the region. The DGP directed district police chiefs to take strict action against organized crime syndicates and dismantle networks involved in drug trafficking. He also instructed officers to identify key culprits and initiate legal proceedings to seize assets obtained through criminal means.
Sharma highlighted the priority of ensuring the safety of women, children, and vulnerable groups in society. He called for handling crimes against women and children with utmost sensitivity and ensuring the effective implementation of public safety initiatives. Given the strategic significance of border districts in the Jodhpur Range, Sharma emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and stronger policing mechanisms in these areas.
Addressing the officers, the DGP underscored the effectiveness of new criminal laws in law enforcement and urged their responsible utilization. He encouraged leveraging these tools to enhance policing and uphold the Rajasthan Police’s motto of fostering trust among the public and instilling fear among criminals.
