Rajasthan’s folk heritage will be showcased globally as Rahis Bharti and the Dhoad Band perform at the “Bonjour Modi” event in Paris on June 18. The event, in honor of Prime Minister Modi, will highlight Indian culture and the strong India-France ties at the iconic Salle Pleyel concert hall.
Selected by the Embassy of India in Paris, Rahis Bharti and the Dhoad Band view this as a prestigious opportunity to represent Rajasthan’s folk artists and India’s rich cultural heritage on an international platform. The ensemble, comprising nearly 20 folk artists from Rajasthan, has been touring Europe, sharing traditional Indian folk music and dance.
For over 26 years, Rahis Bharti and the Dhoad Band have been global ambassadors of Rajasthan’s cultural heritage, performing in more than 119 countries. Their participation in the “Bonjour Modi” event not only marks a milestone for the ensemble but also signifies a proud moment for Rajasthan’s folk artists and India’s cultural legacy.
After the Paris event, Rahis Bharti and the Dhoad Band are set to perform at international music festivals in Portugal and various cultural venues across Europe, continuing to promote Rajasthan’s living cultural heritage.
