Rajasthan Minister Advocates Stress-Free Education for Students

Emphasizing stress-free education, Rajasthan’s Education and Panchayati Raj Minister, Madan Dilawar, urged schools to focus on joyful learning. Speaking at a state-level consultation on Mental Health and well-being, Minister Dilawar emphasized moving away from the pressure of grades towards the joy of learning. The event, organized by NCERT at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, aimed to promote a positive educational environment.

Highlighting the Manodarpan initiative by the Union Government, Minister Dilawar stressed the importance of emotional support for students during challenging times. He underlined that education should not only cover the syllabus but also prioritize students’ mental well-being as a crucial aspect. The Minister emphasized the need for teachers to be observant of students’ behavioral changes and provide empathetic support when necessary.

Minister Dilawar emphasized the role of mentally healthy teachers in creating a positive classroom atmosphere. He urged teachers to prioritize their mental well-being to foster a conducive learning environment. Stressing the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, he called for an educational setting where students develop not only academically but also as mentally healthy individuals.

The Minister highlighted the significance of a mentally strong and happy citizenry in building a prosperous nation. He expressed optimism that the consultation would enhance initiatives related to children’s mental health in the state. The meeting, attended by various education officials and stakeholders, aimed to raise mental health awareness among teachers and equip them with skills for early intervention.
