Rajasthan Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra expressed regret to students and parents for the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam by the National Testing Agency (NTA). He mentioned that arrests have been made in connection with the alleged paper leak, with the case now under CBI investigation. More arrests are expected soon.
Kharra highlighted the severe impact of the paper leak on hardworking students, emphasizing the government’s serious approach to the issue. He assured that the exam would be re-conducted in the next two to three months with heightened security measures to prevent malpractice. Candidates who had applied earlier will not need to pay additional fees for the new test.
The cancellation has stirred anger and frustration among students in Rajasthan, with many feeling unjustly affected by the actions of a few. Students expressed disappointment over the cancellation, which has added mental pressure and uncertainty. They voiced concerns about having to restart their preparation process, disrupting their progress and confidence.
