Rajasthan’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Sumit Godara, led a review meeting to evaluate the distribution of domestic LPG in the state. He emphasized the stable and efficient supply of LPG, assuring citizens of ample stock availability and timely deliveries within three to four days.
Godara announced the implementation of OTP verification and mandatory entry in delivery diaries for all domestic LPG cylinders to prevent malpractice. This decision aims to address irregularities and ensure transparency in the delivery process, particularly targeting fraudulent bookings.
To enhance oversight and accountability, the minister directed gas companies to conduct awareness campaigns on the new OTP-based delivery system. Stricter monitoring measures, including surprise inspections and geotagged evidence submissions, have been put in place to combat black marketing and illegal practices.
Ambrish Kumar, Secretary of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, confirmed that daily LPG supply volumes have remained consistent across the state. Continuous monitoring mechanisms are in operation to guarantee uninterrupted availability for consumers, with officials reporting smooth supply operations and increased consumer confidence.
