Additional Chief Secretary Aparna Arora has instructed 13 City Gas Distribution entities in Rajasthan to increase piped natural gas connections from 1.25 lakh households to 5 lakh in the next three months. She emphasized the need for a significant rise in connection issuance rates, aiming to boost daily connections from 50 to around 200.

Arora, addressing CGD representatives, stressed the importance of extending domestic PNG services to industrial and commercial establishments. She highlighted the existing infrastructure for DPNG and urged coordination between CGD entities, district administrations, and citizens to accelerate connection issuance and promote clean energy adoption.

To facilitate the process, Arora directed District Collectors to collaborate with CGD entities, conduct awareness campaigns, and engage with industrial and commercial stakeholders. She underscored the initiative’s significance for service providers and the public, reiterating the governments’ commitment to the project.
