Rajasthan’s Director General of Police, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, has highlighted the key goals for the state police force in 2026. The focus will be on enhancing the effectiveness, sensitivity, and technological advancement of the police system, with a core strategy centered around public safety, crime control, and public trust.
One major area of emphasis will be taking strict and decisive action against organized crime. Additionally, preventing crimes targeting women, children, and vulnerable groups will be a top priority, with a strong emphasis on prompt action and high-quality investigations.
Efforts will also be directed towards strengthening road safety and traffic management to reduce accidents statewide. Special attention will be given to preventing cybercrime, utilizing advanced technology and digital tools for efficient investigations.
Operational efficiency will be boosted through the extensive use of modern technology in policing. The Director General also highlighted the importance of enhancing police-public relations, transparency, and trustworthiness, along with improving working conditions and welfare for police personnel.
Community-oriented services within police facilities will be encouraged to redefine police engagement with society. The implementation of these priorities is expected to make the Rajasthan Police more approachable, efficient, and accountable, further enhancing law and order in the state.
