Acting on Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s orders to dismantle cybercrime networks in Alwar and Deeg, Rajasthan Police have initiated a statewide crackdown on cyber fraud. Led by Director General of Police Rajeev Kumar Sharma and supervised by Additional Director General of Police (Cyber Crime) V.K. Singh, the police conducted coordinated operations targeting cybercrime hotspots. This effort resulted in the blocking of over 1.37 lakh suspicious SIM cards and the apprehension of more than 27 cyber criminals.
Alwar Superintendent of Police Sudhir Chaudhary mentioned the establishment of a dedicated A4C (Anti-Cyber Crime Coordination Centre) in the district to enhance coordination and monitoring. Through technical surveillance and financial intelligence, the police focused on dismantling the infrastructure utilized by fraudsters. Alwar Police, via the Pratibimb portal, blocked 1,37,522 suspicious SIM cards and 53,536 mobile IMEI numbers, making the district a leader in such actions nationwide.
The crackdown in Alwar significantly reduced active cybercrime hotspots from 1,240 in January 2026 to 689 in June 2026. The district has launched Cyber Sangram 3.0, building on previous initiatives, to provide advanced training to personnel in digital forensics and cyber investigation tools. Additionally, under Operation Mule Hunter, the police intensified actions against mule bank accounts, resulting in a notable increase in freezing fraudulent transactions.
