Rajasthan police have taken legal action against the administrators of the Meel Madrasa Trust following the tragic death of a young girl in a septic tank accident at Meel Madrasa in Deeg district. The case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. The investigation into this incident has been entrusted to DSP (Pahari) Amar Singh Meena.
The FIR alleges that the administrators of Meel Madrasa Trust, including Mohammad Arshad, Rashid, Mohammad Asjad, and Rizwana, instructed minor students to enter a septic tank despite knowing it contained toxic gas and that the children were not prepared for such dangerous work. The students were reportedly sent into the tank without proper safety gear or precautions, putting their lives at risk. These serious allegations are currently being looked into by the police.
Several students at the madrasa fainted upon entering the septic tank due to the presence of toxic gases. One of the students, Rohin, tragically passed away during treatment at the hospital. Other students are in critical condition and have been transferred to a higher medical facility for further care. The incident has raised significant concerns regarding safety protocols at the institution and the circumstances surrounding the students’ involvement in such hazardous tasks.
The Gopalgarh police have filed the case under Sections 106, 125, 125A, and 146 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. Initial investigations suggest the possibility of serious offenses being committed. Authorities are carefully examining all angles of the case before deciding on the next legal steps. They are particularly focused on identifying those responsible for instructing the students to clean the septic tank, as well as assessing the presence of safety measures during the incident.
The ongoing investigation will also look into whether similar risky assignments had been given to children at the institution in the past. If the allegations are proven true, further legal measures may be taken against those accountable. This incident has prompted discussions on child safety, institutional responsibility, and the protection of minors from dangerous tasks. The outcome of the police inquiry will play a crucial role in determining the subsequent legal actions.
