Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has decided to postpone the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM-2026) scheduled at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre from May 23 to 25. This move comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for responsible fuel usage, advocating for public transport and carpooling.
The decision aims to save fuel that would have been used for travel and logistics during the event, which was anticipated to draw thousands of farmers, agricultural experts, and entrepreneurs. Chief Minister Sharma emphasized aligning with PM Modi’s message on energy conservation by reducing large-scale official events and promoting virtual meetings.
Encouraging citizens to adopt fuel-efficient practices, Sharma highlighted the collective impact of individual efforts on fuel savings. The GRAM-2026 was set to host over 75,000 farmers, 250 exhibitors, and 100 companies, serving as a global platform for stakeholders in the agricultural sector, including investors, innovators, and policymakers.
Delegations from various regions were expected to participate, showcasing investment opportunities in Rajasthan’s agri-tech and agricultural industries. Chief Minister Sharma recently invited investors and industry leaders to explore partnerships in the state’s growing agri-tech sector, emphasizing Rajasthan’s potential in modern agricultural practices.
