The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has taken strict action against a fraud case involving a “dummy candidate” in the Lecturer (School Education) Competitive Examination-2022. A Commission employee has been arrested by the Special Operations Group following a complaint filed by the Commission Secretary. The fraud came to light during an internal review conducted by the Commission after suspicious documents were examined.
Commission Secretary Ramniwas Mehta lodged a First Information Report against candidate Rajesh Kumar Meena at the Special Operations Group Police Station in Jaipur on February 25, 2025. It was found that Meena allegedly replaced his photograph with a dummy candidate’s on the attendance sheet during the History examination. The investigation revealed that forged documents were used to manipulate signatures and date-of-birth details to carry out the fraud.
The accused managed to secure the 569th rank on the main selection list through this scheme before being caught by the Commission. Mansingh Meena, a clerk at the Commission, was arrested for his alleged involvement in facilitating the fraud. Police disclosed that Mansingh Meena had joined the Commission as a Junior Clerk in November 2020.
According to the investigation, the dummy candidate appeared in the examination at two different centers in Jaipur. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Rajasthan Public Examination Act, 2022. The Commission has provided crucial documents to aid the investigation, including the candidate’s original Optical Mark Recognition sheet and application form.
