Fine batting by Rajasthan Royals’ lower-order players helped them recover from a shaky start and reach a total of 205/8 against Mumbai Indians in a crucial Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match at Wankhede Stadium. Despite losing early wickets, Rajasthan managed to post a challenging score without any standout individual performance in their innings.

After a slow middle phase where they struggled to score runs, Rajasthan’s lower-order batsmen accelerated in the final overs, adding 73 runs to propel the team past the 200-run mark. Mumbai Indians’ bowlers, including Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur, picked up crucial wickets, supported by a disciplined bowling effort from the team.

Rajasthan’s innings saw contributions from various players, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ryan Parag making notable starts before getting out. Dhruv Jurel and Dasun Shanaka steadied the innings with a partnership, but quick wickets saw Rajasthan in trouble at 119/5. Despite late cameos from Jofra Archer and others, Rajasthan finished at 205/8, acknowledging the challenge posed by Mumbai Indians’ strong batting lineup in the upcoming innings.
