Rajasthan’s coaching hub Sikar is under scrutiny as the suspected nerve center of the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak network. The CBI is investigating potential connections among coaching institutes, middlemen, students, and relatives of the accused, focusing on Sikar’s role in the alleged coordination.
The probe is delving into how the purported paper leak operation spread through coaching networks and student circles. It has expanded to include family members of the accused who recently cleared NEET and gained admission to medical colleges, raising questions about the network’s scope and influence in medical education.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested four key suspects from Jaipur in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case. The arrested individuals, including Mangilal Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, Yash Yadav from Haryana, and Mangilal’s son Vikas, were presented before a magistrate and then moved to Delhi for further questioning.
Investigative sources suggest that the main accused were allegedly tipped off about the availability of the NEET paper months before the exam, indicating early activation of the leak network. Sikar in Rajasthan is believed to have served as the operational base for the purported paper leak racket.
Accused Yash Yadav and Vikas, who studied together in a Sikar coaching institute, are suspected to have played a pivotal role in the network’s formation. The CBI is exploring potential links between coaching circles, middlemen, and students associated with the accused, including their relatives who secured medical college admissions.
The investigation extends to relatives like Sonia, niece of accused Dinesh Biwal, studying in a Mumbai medical college. Other relatives like Palak, Prakriti, and Vikas, who secured seats in various medical colleges, are also under scrutiny. The agency is examining whether these admissions were influenced by access to leaked exam material.
Authorities claim that the leaked paper originated from Dhananjay in Maharashtra and was passed on to individuals like Shubham Khairnar in Nashik, who then shared it with Yash Yadav in Haryana. The material allegedly reached Mangilal and Dinesh Biwal in Rajasthan, where it circulated within contacts in Sikar and Jaipur.
The CBI is intensively questioning absconding suspects like Dinesh Biwal’s son Rishi, Rakesh Mandwariya from Sikar, and another individual named Prajapat from Jaipur. A CBI team is stationed in Sikar, investigating individuals associated with the network. Several students and parents, previously detained by the Rajasthan SOG, have been interrogated.
While some have been released with instructions not to leave the city without permission, officials anticipate that the Delhi interrogations may expose influential figures allegedly tied to the network. The situation underscores concerns about the security and credibility of India’s major medical entrance exam and the potential presence of organized interstate networks behind paper leaks.
