Rajinikanth, who considered Bharathiraja a friend for five decades, praised his contributions to the film industry, noting his role in introducing new talents and advocating for industry members. The actor fondly recalled Bharathiraja’s straightforward nature, mentioning how the director openly shared his opinions, even critiquing Rajinikanth’s acting skills. Rajinikanth emphasized Bharathiraja’s unique ability to bring joy to those around him, citing his close relationships with prominent figures like MGR, Dr. Kalaignar, and Sivaji Ganesan.
