Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa have postponed the release date of their production ‘Raftaar’ from July 24 to October 16, coinciding with the extended Dussehra weekend. The couple announced this decision on Instagram, emphasizing the film’s significance as their debut in the theatrical realm.
In their joint post, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa expressed the personal and special nature of ‘Raftaar,’ describing it as a project fueled by belief, determination, and numerous aspirations. They highlighted the film’s deeper essence, portraying it not just as a movie but as a reflection of the relentless pursuit of dreams and aspirations.
Set against the backdrop of India’s competitive ed-tech industry, ‘Raftaar’ delves into the rapid ascent of a startup intertwined with a passionate relationship. The narrative unfolds the journey of a resolute man and an ambitious woman, illustrating the sacrifices made in the pursuit of success, where themes of greed, power, and wealth clash with love, integrity, and human connections.
Starring Rajkummar Rao, Keerthy Suresh, Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala, and Rajat Kapoor, ‘Raftaar’ is a production by Patralekhaa under Kampa Film’s banner. Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar and executive produced by Tarun Bali, the film, with a story and screenplay by Rohan Narula, is an Amazon MGM Studios Original. PVR INOX Pictures will handle the film’s distribution.
