Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan, at the Monsoon Session’s commencement, emphasized the importance of maintaining the dignity, discipline, and decorum of the institution. He stressed the need for meaningful discussions while respecting differing opinions to preserve the House’s sanctity.
Radhakrishnan urged members to prioritize the timely conduct of business, highlighting the significance of every session in addressing national issues. He encouraged the continuation of the House’s tradition of constructive deliberations and expressed confidence in upholding this legacy throughout the 19 sittings of the session.
The Chairman introduced new services for members, including live AI-based simultaneous interpretation in nine languages, with plans for expansion to all 22 scheduled languages. He solicited feedback for further enhancements and administered the oath of office to newly elected Rajya Sabha members from various political parties.
