Actress Rani Mukerji participated in the “Voices of Grace and Grit” event organized by the National Commission for Women before the launch of her upcoming crime drama “Mardaani 3”. She highlighted her focus on portraying roles that empower women throughout her career.
During the event, Rani emphasized the increasing influence of women in leading institutions and shaping society. She also acknowledged the current female President of India, highlighting the progress in gender equality and leadership roles.
Rani Mukerji, known for her role in “Hichki”, emphasized that women are capable of balancing professional ambitions and family responsibilities effectively. The event also saw Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar advocating against the concept of “mother’s guilt” in today’s progressive society.
Rani inaugurated the ‘Wall of Fame’ at the Commission, recognizing the contributions of former and current Chairpersons of the National Commission for Women. Additionally, she was honored with the Vande Mataram Puraskar, the West Bengal Governor’s Award of Excellence, marking her 30 years in cinema.
In celebration of her three-decade-long career, Rani Mukerji’s “Mardaani 3”, directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, is set for a theatrical release on January 30.
