American Jhared Hack followed closely in second place with a five-under 67, featuring six birdies and a bogey.
In a competitive field, five golfers, including Arjun Prasad and Brijesh Kumar, shared the third spot with matching scores of four-under 68. Rashid Khan, aiming to break a seven-year title drought, showcased a strong performance with two birdies and a bogey on the back-nine, followed by five birdies on the front-nine to claim the lead.
Reflecting on his game, Rashid mentioned the challenging course conditions and tricky pin positions but expressed confidence in his abilities. Other international players like Clement Sordet, Pierre Pineau, and Christoph Bleier also performed well, finishing tied eighth with scores of three-under 69.
Local pro Aditya Raj Kumar Chauhan impressed with a 70 to secure a tied 15th position among Ahmedabad-based players. Meanwhile, pre-tournament favorites Veer Ahlawat and Yuvraj Sandhu landed in tied 22nd and tied 41st places, respectively.
