She emphasized the importance of interpreting and implementing the recent Supreme Court verdict with compassion and humanity. Raveena highlighted the need for solutions like sterilization, vaccination, proper shelters, and structured rehabilitation to ensure the safety of both citizens and animals.
The actress urged the Punjab government to lead by example in addressing the issue responsibly and with compassion. She emphasized the significance of collaborating with authorities, animal welfare organizations, and experts to handle the sensitive matter with kindness. Raveena stressed that society’s treatment of voiceless creatures reflects its values and character.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced plans to remove stray dogs from areas with heavy public traffic, including considering euthanasia for dangerous dogs posing a threat to human life. Actress Sonam Bajwa had also previously made a similar plea to the Punjab CM through her social media post.
