Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after defeating Manchester City and Chelsea, respectively. Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior scored twice, knocking Manchester City out of the competition for the third consecutive time. Despite Manchester City’s efforts, including a goal by Erling Haaland, they fell short, with Madrid ultimately winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, PSG secured an 8-2 aggregate victory over Chelsea, with goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola, and Senny Mayulu. Arsenal also claimed a quarterfinal spot by defeating Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate, with Eberechi Eze’s goal proving crucial. Sporting CP staged a remarkable comeback against Bodo/Glimt, overcoming a three-goal deficit to secure a spot in the quarterfinals for the first time since 1982/83.

In a thrilling match, Sporting CP scored twice in extra time, with goals from Goncalo Inácio, Pedro Gonçalves, Maximiliano Araújo, and Rafael Nel. This victory marked Sporting CP as only the fifth team in Champions League history to come back from a three-goal deficit in the first leg.
