The Defence Ministry’s Project Veer Gatha 5.0 has achieved a new milestone with 1.92 crore student registrations, surpassing last year’s record of 1.76 crore. Launched in 2021 with 8 lakh registrations, the initiative aims to inspire students by showcasing the bravery of Gallantry Award Winners. Super-100 Winners selected nationally from participating schools will receive Rs 10,000 and a special invitation to attend the #RepublicDay2026 Parade.
Under Veer Gatha 5.0, students have submitted creative works such as poems, paintings, essays, and videos honoring the courage and sacrifice of Armed Forces personnel. They were also encouraged to learn about the military strategies and indomitable spirit of historical Indian warriors like King Kharavela of Kalinga, Prithviraj Chauhan, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Additionally, a Weapon and Equipment Display was held at the Indian Army’s Southern Command by the #WhiteTigerDivision to mark the 78th Army Day, attracting over 350 NCC cadets, students, and civilians.
Continuing the celebrations, a Donation Drive was organized at Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Military Cantonment as part of the Army Day festivities, emphasizing the Indian Army’s commitment to humanitarian outreach and nation-building. Separately, the Golden Katar Division conducted a Weapon and Equipment Display at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, showcasing the modern combat capabilities and integrated battlefield systems of the Indian Army. This event aimed to educate students on new-age weapon systems and engage them in discussions about the evolving nature of modern warfare.
