A recruitment rally for ‘Agniveers’ is ongoing in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, where candidates are undergoing ground assessments, medical checks, and document verification. Around 500 candidates participated on the second day, with an expected total of 3,400 youth from Hamirpur, Bilaspur, and Una following Indian Army guidelines.
Colonel Sridhar Rajan, the ARO of Hamirpur, mentioned that the rally, running from March 9 to 16 with a reserve day on the 17th, has invited approximately 4,000 candidates shortlisted through the Common Entrance Exam. The event starts with a 1.6-kilometre run, followed by physical tests, document verification, and interviews.
The recruitment process in Himachal Pradesh has garnered significant interest, especially in the physical efficiency test, reflecting the state’s history of soldiers receiving gallantry awards. Candidates are advised to arrive on time with original documents and adhere to Army guidelines for the recruitment.
Additional District Commissioner Abhishek Garg highlighted the ongoing Agniveer recruitment organized by ARO Hamirpur for districts including Una, Bilaspur, and Hamirpur. The physical efficiency test, overseen by Army officers, includes a 1.6 km run and other physical assessments, with a focus on transparent document verification post-ground tests.
