A relative of a victim injured in the tragic fire at a bed and breakfast in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, shared that the victim was trapped in his room as the fire spread. Unable to flee, he jumped from the third floor, resulting in a hip fracture. The fire at Flourish Stay B&B claimed 21 lives, including 12 foreign nationals from Liberia, Nigeria, Mozambique, and Bangladesh.

The victim, who had booked a room for physiotherapy at Max Hospital, suffered burns as the flames reached his room. He broke a window on the third floor to escape, leading to a fractured hip. Upon regaining consciousness, he contacted his family, who rushed to his side from Ludhiana.

Maria Bella, a foreign national studying in Dehradun, lost her aunt in the fire tragedy. Expressing deep sorrow, she mentioned that her uncle, who was also present during the incident, is hospitalized. The investigation into the blaze has intensified, with owner Lavkesh Bajaj in police custody for four days as authorities search for the absconding manager, Jai Mishra.
