The mysterious death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa, a well-known religious storyteller and devotional singer, has prompted significant police involvement in Rajasthan. Jodhpur Police Commissioner Omprakash has established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a thorough and unbiased inquiry into the high-profile case. The SIT, comprising nine members, is currently gathering statements from individuals connected to the deceased.
Authorities are investigating the injection administered to Sadhvi Prem Baisa just before her demise, exploring all possible angles in the ongoing probe. ACP Chhavi Sharma will lead the SIT’s efforts, with police officials not ruling out the potential of a broader conspiracy. Technical evidence, including mobile call records and CCTV footage from the ashram, is being scrutinized to reconstruct the events leading up to the tragic incident.
The focus of the investigation centers on an injection allegedly given to Sadhvi Prem Baisa shortly before her passing. Compounder Devi Singh, who purportedly administered the injection, has been detained and interrogated by the police. Authorities are delving into whether the injection was authorized by a doctor, the nature of the medication used, and its potential role in the death.
Pending the post-mortem report, which is anticipated to shed light on the precise cause and timing of death, the SIT’s inquiries extend beyond external suspects. In addition to scrutinizing individuals associated with the Sadhana Kutir Ashram, including Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s father and ashram members, the police are exploring internal disputes, financial transactions, and operational matters to uncover any potential connections to the case.
