The state-level Republic Day celebrations took place at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur with Governor Haribhau Bagde hoisting the national flag in the presence of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Vasudev Devnani, and other dignitaries. Following the flag hoisting, the Governor inspected the parade and acknowledged the march past by the guard of honour.
Governor Bagde, in his address, urged citizens to actively contribute to building a “Developed India – Developed Rajasthan.” He emphasized the significance of Republic Day in reaffirming faith in the Constitution’s principles and traditions. The Governor highlighted the state’s developmental goals, aiming to elevate Rajasthan into a $350 billion economy by 2029.
Underlining progress in sectors like education, health, agriculture, energy, roads, and industry, the Governor praised the government’s people-centric policies, transparent governance, and administrative accountability. He expressed gratitude to freedom fighters and soldiers safeguarding the nation, crediting their dedication for India’s confident global presence.
During the celebrations, the Governor awarded the President’s Police Medal to deserving police officers and personnel, recognizing their service. Additionally, he honored individuals excelling in various fields and contributing significantly to social service and cultural activities. The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by folk artists, showcasing Rajasthan’s rich heritage.
In observance of the 77th Republic Day, Governor Haribhau Bagde paid homage to martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti near the stadium and observed a moment of silence. He concluded by recording a message of gratitude in the memorial’s visitors’ book.
