Patriotic fervour filled the 77th Republic Day celebrations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Governors of both states led the festivities by hoisting the national flag at official functions. Ministers and officials spearheaded celebrations across districts, with flag hoisting ceremonies at various locations.
In Telangana, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma unfurled the tricolour at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad. A colorful parade featuring armed forces, police, and paramilitary contingents was reviewed, and tributes were paid at the Martyrs’ Memorial.
As Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was abroad, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka joined the Governor in the day’s events. The day concluded with an At Home event at Lok Bhavan, attended by dignitaries from various sectors.
In Andhra Pradesh, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer hoisted the national flag in Amaravati, the state capital. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and other officials participated in the ceremony.
Republic Day festivities extended to various institutions and organizations in both states, with flag hoisting ceremonies held across government offices, educational institutions, and political party offices.
