A tragic fire in central China’s Hunan Province has resulted in the deaths of five individuals, with two others sustaining injuries. The incident took place in the Yanfeng District of Hengyang City around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Those injured are currently receiving medical care, while authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
In a separate incident on May 5, an explosion at a fireworks factory in central China led to the deaths of at least 26 people and left 61 others injured. Chinese President Xi Jinping promptly ordered an investigation into the explosion at the Huasheng fireworks plant in Liuyang, emphasizing the need to hold those responsible accountable. The local government mobilized 482 emergency personnel to the site and evacuated nearby areas due to the risk of further explosions.
On May 2, a fire broke out at a foot massage parlour in Lingbao City, Henan Province, resulting in the tragic deaths of six individuals despite emergency rescue efforts. The Lingbao 119 emergency centre promptly dispatched rescue teams to the scene, where five other individuals were successfully rescued without injuries.
In another unfortunate incident on April 25, a fire at a residential building in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, claimed the lives of five individuals and left two others injured. The local fire-fighting and rescue bureau reported the blaze to the fire emergency call centre for immediate response.
