The disagreement between Telangana’s Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and MLA Kadiyam Srihari intensified as Surekha filed a complaint with state Congress chief Mahesh Kumar Goud. Upset over Srihari’s alleged interference in her ministry matters, Surekha approached the state unit President seeking action against Srihari.
Goud promised to investigate the issue thoroughly and resolve it after consulting all relevant parties. Surekha expressed discontent with the political situation in Warangal district, expressing disappointment over being sidelined by the party.
The conflict between Surekha and Srihari emerged recently following a review meeting conducted by Srihari on temple development. Surekha had previously written to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing Srihari of unauthorized conduct and requesting a disciplinary committee inquiry and appropriate action against the MLA.
Srihari, representing Station Ghanpur constituency, refuted Surekha’s claims of protocol violation, asserting his right as an elected public representative. He defended meeting the Endowments Commissioner to discuss temple-related issues in his constituency, emphasizing that he had not erred and had the right to engage with officials on public matters.
