The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) responded to accusations from the Congress regarding cross voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. The Congress alleged that some RJD and CPI-ML MLAs supported the NDA-backed candidate, leading to Congress candidate Pranav Jha’s defeat. In return, RJD leaders refuted the claims, emphasizing their commitment to their principles and ideology.
Jharkhand Minister and RJD leader Sanjay Prasad Yadav dismissed the allegations, stating that the RJD would never compromise with the BJP and the RSS. RJD National General Secretary Bhola Yadav criticized the Congress incharge’s statements as baseless, accusing him of deflecting blame for his party’s mistakes. RJD MLA Suresh Paswan affirmed support for the Hemant Soren government and accused Congress MLAs of betrayal.
RJD President Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav reiterated the party’s loyalty to its leadership, emphasizing that they stand by Hemant Soren. Meanwhile, Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed maintained the party’s stance, alleging that the RJD and CPI-ML engaged in cross voting during the elections.
