RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha criticized the BJP’s top leadership for what he called “hollow symbolism” in reducing the number of vehicles in their convoys. Jha questioned the actual extent of the reduction, highlighting concerns about the effectiveness of the measure. He expressed skepticism, suggesting that the reduction may be more about managing headlines than making substantial changes.
The MP also raised issues regarding government expenditure, particularly citing excessive spending on recent oath-taking ceremonies and the widespread use of charter planes. He questioned the need for austerity measures while pointing out what he viewed as contradictory actions by the government. Jha emphasized the disconnect between urging citizens to cut back on expenses like oil consumption while seemingly engaging in lavish spending practices.
In addition to his critique of the convoy reduction and government spending, Jha commented on the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination due to a paper leak. He empathized with the affected students and their families, highlighting the disappointment and frustration caused by the sudden cancellation. Jha criticized the underlying system, attributing the leak to a pervasive syndicate that he claimed operates at various levels within the education system.
Questioning the lack of concrete action in response to the paper leak, Jha expressed doubt that meaningful steps would be taken to address the issue. He criticized the potential superficiality of a CBI inquiry, suggesting that it may not lead to substantial outcomes for the affected students. Jha raised concerns about the impact on students who had diligently prepared for the exam, questioning whether they would be able to regain their motivation and resources after the disruption.
