Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru Director of Cricket Mo Bobat has assured that skipper Rajat Patidar will be back for the upcoming league-stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Patidar had missed the previous match against Punjab Kings due to a head injury sustained while playing against Kolkata Knight Riders. Bobat mentioned that they took precautions with Patidar but now he is fit and practicing for the upcoming fixture.

Bobat praised senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who currently leads the wicket-takers with 24 wickets in 13 innings. He highlighted Kumar’s exceptional performance and effectiveness throughout the innings, emphasizing his valuable contribution to the team both on and off the field.

As the playoffs draw near, Bobat emphasized the team’s focus on taking one game at a time and staying grounded. He stressed the importance of understanding the conditions, respecting the opposition, and playing to their strengths consistently. The team aims to maintain their competitive edge by concentrating on each upcoming match without getting ahead of themselves.

Looking ahead to the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bobat acknowledged the strength of all teams in the competition and the need to approach each game with humility and respect for the opponents. He emphasized the importance of being clear about their own strengths while remaining focused on the immediate challenge without being burdened by past records or statistics.
