The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has commenced its three-day Prant Pracharak meeting in Belagavi, Karnataka. The gathering, led by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, includes over 136 senior functionaries and notable figures from various regions and affiliated organizations. Discussions at the meeting will focus on reviewing past activities, finalizing upcoming programs, and addressing expansion strategies.
The agenda also encompasses enhancing RSS shakhas, improving coordination among affiliated groups, evaluating educational institutions under RSS-linked bodies, and addressing organizational issues. Notably, the meeting will address recent controversies, including matters related to the Ayodhya Ram Temple fund. This internal gathering is crucial for the RSS, providing a platform for senior officials to assess progress, exchange feedback, and set the course for future nationwide activities.
The meeting has sparked a political exchange between the Congress and BJP in Karnataka. State Home Minister Priyank Kharge has called on the RSS and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) to clarify their stance on the alleged Ayodhya Ram Temple fund irregularities. In response, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje accused Kharge of prioritizing criticism of the RSS over addressing law and order issues in the state. The three-day meeting will conclude on July 12 after finalizing the organization’s plans for the upcoming year.
