Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Western countries, with Ukraine’s assistance, have initiated a war against Russia. Lavrov expressed this view during a meeting with Russian non-governmental organizations, highlighting the use of the Kyiv regime as a ‘spearhead’ backed by Western military support. He also mentioned that Belgium is reportedly preparing for war with Russia, aided by Ukraine to buy time. Lavrov criticized the West and Ukraine, alleging the flourishing of Satanism and sacrilege in these regions, particularly targeting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The minister emphasized the ongoing persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, citing numerous criminal cases against clergy and the church’s continuous struggles. He warned of a potential global threat emerging from Europe, with Ukraine being manipulated as a trigger for such a crisis. Additionally, the European Union recently approved a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, allocating a significant portion for defense-related investments. European Council President Antonio Costa affirmed the EU’s unwavering support for Ukraine and announced new sanctions against Russia to limit its military capabilities.
