External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to begin a 10-day journey to several countries starting from Sunday. His itinerary includes visits to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman from July 5 to July 10 to bolster bilateral ties with these nations. The focus of the trip is to enhance relations and discuss regional matters of mutual interest with key leaders.

Following this, Jaishankar will head to New York on July 13 to launch India’s official campaign for the UN Security Council tenure 2028-29. Subsequently, he will participate in the 3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council meeting in Brussels on July 14-15, engaging with EU and Belgian counterparts.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, along with other ministers, will also attend the India-EU Trade and Technology Council meeting in Brussels. Goyal highlighted the importance of this meeting in complementing the recently finalized India-EU free trade agreement to facilitate its smooth implementation and maximize its benefits. The dialogue aims to strengthen cooperation between India and the EU in trade, technology, and resilient supply chains.
