India’s cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar reminisced about the emotions of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Final on its 15th anniversary. Tendulkar played a pivotal role in India’s triumph, lifting the trophy at his home ground and becoming the team’s highest run-scorer. He shared a video recalling the intensity of that historic moment and thanked everyone involved in the journey.

The 2011 World Cup victory was a significant milestone in Indian sports history, fulfilling a long-standing dream for the nation. Tendulkar, who carried the hopes of cricket fans for years, finally achieved the pinnacle of success by winning the World Cup. The final match at Wankhede Stadium witnessed a fierce battle between India and Sri Lanka, with the former emerging victorious.

In the final, Sri Lanka posted a challenging total of 274/6, led by Mahela Jayawardene’s impressive unbeaten century. Despite a shaky start to India’s chase, Gautam Gambhir’s determined 97 and MS Dhoni’s captain’s knock guided the team towards victory. Dhoni’s unbeaten 91, along with a crucial partnership with Yuvraj Singh, sealed the win for India with a memorable six.
