Actor Saif Ali Khan discussed the similarities between his character Pawan in the upcoming film “Kartavya” and Langda Tyagi from “Omkara.” He mentioned that the director of “Kartavya” saw his performance in “Omkara” and believed he could portray the grounded role of Pawan Singh effectively.
Saif expressed gratitude towards “Omkara” for making people take his acting seriously. He highlighted that the connection between the characters lies in the director recognizing his acting range after watching “Omkara.”
He emphasized that the dialect might be the only commonality between the two characters. Saif appreciated how his role in “Omkara” helped change perceptions about his acting abilities, allowing him to be considered for diverse roles.
“Kartavya,” produced by Gauri Khan for Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Ltd., features actors like Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari, and Saurabh Dwivedi in significant roles. The film follows the story of a police officer balancing duty and family safety.
The movie is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15 this year.
