Legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, part of the iconic Salim-Javed duo, shared an incident where a person outside his family gained more importance than him among his family members. In an old video circulating online, Salim Khan recounted how this individual was treated with more respect than him in his own home. He discovered that the person, named Ganesh, used to bring leaked papers for his children, leading to a situation where he was revered more than the renowned screenwriter himself.
The emergence of this video comes at a time when concerns over paper leaks in academic settings are escalating, particularly highlighted by the NEET paper leak controversy. This issue, surrounding allegations of question paper leaks and irregularities in India’s medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency, stirred widespread debate. The controversy deepened as suspicions arose due to an unusually high number of top scorers and perfect marks, prompting student protests for transparency, re-tests, and accountability measures. While the government defended the examination process, investigative agencies delved into the extent of malpractice, eroding trust in the examination system.
Tragically, the aftermath of the paper leak incidents saw several student suicides and the emergence of the satirical political movement known as the Cockroach Janta Party. In a separate case of paper leak, the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) papers were compromised in Maharashtra, leading to the arrest of four individuals by the Maharashtra Police for allegedly selling TET question papers in various subjects for a substantial sum of Rs 1.5 crore.
