Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav expressed doubts about the impact of the proposed anti-paper leak law, suggesting that stricter regulations alone might not be sufficient to prevent exam fraud and leaks. Yadav emphasized the ease of paper leaks and hacking, questioning whether harsher penalties would truly address the underlying issues. He highlighted that even severe punishments might not deter crimes, drawing parallels to murder cases where stringent laws have not eradicated the offense.

Yadav stressed the need to tackle the sources of paper leaks, pointing out potential breaches during paper setting, printing, or through influential coaching centers. He emphasized that laws alone may not suffice in preventing such incidents. The MP’s comments come amidst the government’s efforts to introduce tougher measures against exam malpractices, aiming to enhance transparency and curb paper leaks.

In a separate development, Yadav dismissed a statement by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav’s waking habits. Yadav chose not to engage with Adityanath’s remark, labeling it as a comment from someone he deemed unfit for a response. The exchange between the political figures coincides with growing concerns over exam security and paper leaks, prompting the government to push for stricter legal actions to safeguard students’ interests during crucial exams.
