Samrat Choudhary has been sworn in as the 24th Chief Minister of Bihar, marking the first BJP-led government in the state. BJP legislator Maithili Thakur hailed the occasion as historic, expressing full support from all NDA members under his leadership.
Thakur mentioned the enthusiasm among party workers for the leadership transition, emphasizing their readiness to collaborate over the next crucial five years for Bihar’s development. Reflecting on her political journey, she expressed eagerness to contribute effectively in her constituency.
Another BJP leader, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, highlighted Choudhary’s oath-taking after being elected as the NDA legislature party leader. He emphasized Bihar’s progress under Nitish Kumar and Sushil Kumar Modi’s leadership, foreseeing accelerated development with Choudhary as Chief Minister.
BJP MP Radha Mohan Singh praised Bihar’s developmental journey, citing the state’s transformation under previous leaders. He expressed confidence in Choudhary’s leadership alongside other key figures like Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav. BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal termed the transition a “generational change,” carrying forward Nitish Kumar’s legacy.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at Lok Bhawan, saw Governor Syed Ata Hasnain administer the oath to Choudhary. Senior JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Vijendra Prasad Yadav were also sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. Choudhary sought blessings at a Hanuman temple before the ceremony, symbolizing a new political chapter for Bihar.
