Samrat Choudhary is all set to take office as Bihar’s new Chief Minister on Wednesday, marking a significant political shift in the state. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 10.50 a.m. at the Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhawan) in Patna.
This will be the first time a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumes the role of Chief Minister in Bihar. Choudhary, who previously served as Deputy Chief Minister under Nitish Kumar, was elected as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party and NDA after Kumar’s resignation.
Governor Syed Ata Hasnain will administer the oath of office to Choudhary. Additionally, two Deputy Chief Ministers from the Janata Dal (United) quota are expected to be sworn in alongside him.
Senior leaders, including outgoing Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, are anticipated to attend the ceremony. Choudhary’s appointment is seen as a new beginning for Bihar, with expectations of progress and good governance under his leadership.
