Hollywood star Sandra Bullock is set to feature in and produce an upcoming film for Sony, penned by writer Dana Fox. The project, which marks a reunion between Bullock and Fox after their collaboration on Paramount’s ‘The Lost City,’ has been acquired by Sony Pictures following a competitive bid. While plot specifics are undisclosed, Bullock will take on both acting and producing roles under her banner Fortis Films, with Fox handling the writing and producing through her company Foxy Inc.
This venture marks Bullock’s return to Sony post her appearance in ‘Bullet Train’ in 2022 alongside Brad Pitt. The success of ‘The Lost City’ has garnered significant interest in this new collaboration, ultimately leading to Sony securing the deal and bringing Bullock back to the studio. Additionally, Fox holds a multiyear television agreement with Sony Pictures Television, where she is actively involved in the development of ‘Clue’ for Peacock.
Renowned for her notable performances in films like ‘Gravity’ and ‘The Blind Side,’ Bullock recently surprised her fans by announcing her involvement in a sequel to ‘Practical Magic,’ alongside Nicole Kidman. Warner Bros is scheduled to release this sequel in September. Fox, known for her work on ‘Wicked’ and ‘Wicked: For Good,’ both critical and commercial successes grossing $1.3 billion globally, also co-wrote and executive produced ‘Lost City,’ featuring Bullock and Channing Tatum.
