Bengaluru-based Sansera Engineering Limited is set to enhance its standing in the automotive sector through a joint venture with Japan’s Nichidai Corporation, as per a report by Machine Maker. This strategic partnership aims to broaden Sansera’s product range beyond internal combustion engine parts, tapping into new customer segments and global markets.
The collaboration focuses on producing high-precision forged and machined aluminum and steel components for various advanced automotive applications, such as differential assemblies and driveline systems. This move aligns with the Make in India initiative and is poised to benefit from global manufacturing standards, fostering technological advancements in automotive components.
“The joint venture signifies a significant milestone for Sansera’s growth trajectory, enabling the expansion into high-value automotive components,” stated S Sekhar Vasan, Chairman & Managing Director of Sansera Engineering. He emphasized that access to Nichidai’s Japanese engineering prowess will empower Sansera to deliver cutting-edge components to global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Commenting on the partnership, Naoki Ito, President of Nichidai Corporation, highlighted India’s appeal as a key automotive manufacturing hub globally. The collaboration is expected to facilitate technology transfer to India, create employment opportunities, and contribute to the industrial progress of Karnataka.
